Stop 36: Lakeview, OR

Another jump to a tiny town that just happens to be in the right place. Our campground is 10 miles out of town and then another mile down a dusty dirt road.

The only thing of use to us in town was a gas station so, once we were set up,  I used a gallon of gas on the round trip to town to fill up the tank.

We haven't figured out what lake it is that Lakeview is supposed to view. There's a small reservoir next to our campground but that can't be it. We're in Lake County and, with the exception of that reservoir, every lake that we've seen is  bone dry.

As I write this, we're enjoying a glass of wine outside our trailer,  looking across some very pretty meadows and watching the cows chew their cud (there are a lot of them).

View from our campsite.
Cows from our campsite.
Took a hike after dinner to this grove of aspens.

Saw these geese on our way back.
Tomorrow, we're off to Klamath Falls, OR.
