We're still trying to find a decent place to stay while we visit my Mom in Walnut Creek. There just don't seem to be many RV Park options in the area. Last year, we stayed in a beautiful spot in Anthony Chabot Regional Park. Unfortunately, the only ways in or out of the park involved very long drives on very twisted roads (usually filled with groups of bicyclists at the worst possible places). In looking for someplace else this year, we had a choice between this place in Concord and a couple of spots in Pleasanton and Livermore. Concord was closest so here we are.
This park has about 80 long-term spots and about 3 overnight spots. The long-term spots actually look pretty nice with lots of trees. The short-term spots are essentially large parking places in their paved lot.
Next stop: Moss Landing (Monterey Bay).
Addendum: Returning to our trailer after posting from my Mom's (no wifi at the park), we found that the spot that we had claimed for our car had been personalized for our campsite. Now, people can just ignore the reserved sign instead of running over our cone.
